Hanging organizers can really expand your closet space. They have wire organizers which, in the room it takes to just hang one hanger, can organize long strings of things. Plastic boxes or bins are a great way to organize. In our closet we got polyurethane barrels. They can be gotten in many different sizes, and you can fold things neatly and pile them up inside the barrel. The barrels are a white translucent color with a sturdy cover and cost about $30 per barrel for a 30 gallon drum. You might then transport those closes out to the garage instead of having them inside your closet. The tight cover will keep odors from entering the barrel, and they can be easily stacked.
So, when you’re trying to get closet ideas, type “Organize my Closet” in the search engine. Remember that closet organization systems can be built in a modular manner. If you’re the kind of person that needs more shelf space than hanger space, then install separated cubbyholes or pull-out drawers. Have half of your closet be cubbyholes, shelves and drawers and the other half be hangers.
Sometimes hangers will cause worse wrinkles than shelves or cubbyholes would, depending on the different kinds of clothes that you wear.
Closet organizing should allow you to separate the different kinds of things you have into different sections. If the organizational method that you use keeps different kinds of things physically separated from each other, then maybe you will never have to organize your closet ever again. After all, gaining the momentum necessary for organizing closets isn’t’ fun. We all tend to procrastinate.
